Certified Pilates Instructor
Esther has spent most of her life practicing mindful movement. She began studying ballet at four, then discovered the importance of moving through the breath from her opera training. She discovered her own Pilates practice while navigating a physically challenging postpartum journey.
With compassion and intention, Esther aims to be fully present with each of her clients. She strives to make each class accessible to every person and body. She focuses on the importance of creating movement through the breath and finding the mind body connection in order to build strength and healing.
Esther is a certified Pilates instructor. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and a Master of Science in Biochemistry. She continues to grow in her own daily practice through Pilates, yoga, Gyrotonic, and toddler chasing.
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a safe, yet innovative system of Mind-Body Exercises that received its name from German physical trainer Joseph Pilates. Pilates may sound intimidating, but it is actually one of the best exercise methods that focuses on building strength in your core muscles while balancing body, mind, and spirit.
Pilates is an exercise technique that involves low-impact flexibility with muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates sessions focus on proper body and posture alignment, core strengthening and muscle balance. Pilates can be modified from gentle strength training and stability to challenging the athlete at their highest fitness level.
